In honor of Black History Month, we will be starting a new series entitled, “Were You There: Reclaiming the Power of Lament.” This will be a three part study of the Biblical book of Lamentations.

We believe that Lament is an important function to our faith and excited to teach on it so that we can better respond to crises going on in our society.

As a church, we lament the racial divisions within the Church and outside of it. We’re committed to pursing justice and reconciliation in our city. However, before justice rolls down like a river, it must first begin in our living rooms and at our dinner tables. We must become a people of reconciliation before we can see it in our society.
